Malapascua Island Diving Adventures

Malapascua is actually a diver’s paradise. Later a tourist diver discovered the sunken Island “Monad Shoal” where you can watch Thresher Sharks, the only place in the world to watch Tresher Sharks! Today, the majority of the resorts offer full-service dive facilities. In fact more than half of the visitors to the island are divers and dive aficionados.

Getting to Malapascua Island is a 4/5hrs. Bus trip from Cebu North Bus Terminal; Passing from the northern part of Cebu, places like Maya, Daanbantayan, and the northernmost point of Cebu Mainland. Upon the arrival in Maya wharf, you can find a lot of boats which will take you to the island approximately 30minutes or so, depending on the weather. But the trip back to the mainland usually stops at 3:00/4:00 in the afternoon. Rent a boat by a so called special trip that costs you about 600-800 Php!!

is a perfect getaway for beach relaxation and scuba diving. The accommodation, the local people in Malapascua are very friendly, the way they treated the tourist are world class. Bars and resorts in Malapascua are world class with lots of Italian, Korean, Filipino, and Japanese food cuisines are so very delicious. The Island of is one of the many places in Daanbantayan that is famous for swimming — snorkeling — diving – fishing – sailing – boating — exploring – and just relaxing.

Malapascua island in the north, they have nice white beaches there too that are world famous but not so expensive… I highly recommend Water Resort in Malapascua!
